Uncountable Heterogeneities

There is so much fabulous artwork to pick from at sgareversebang! I was all ready, had my pics lined up to go for 3pm - aaaaand things go busy at work.

Rawr!

I missed the 3pm start of the art claiming by 8 minutes, and everything I wanted was already claimed once.

I actually really liked 2 of the pieces that were still unclaimed, but they were so very complicated, I didn't think I could do them justice. One had a whole lot more characters and what I considered a fairly established plot line that I think would require at least 40-60K words to do it justice. I'm going to be working hard to meet and hopefully beat 10k. The other would definitely be AU, and as much as I love reading AUs, I really, really do, I don't think I could write one.

The other 2 pieces that were unclaimed just didn't grab my heart, so I'm waiting for the next round.

Oh, they are so lovely! Everyone is in for such a treat when the big reveal comes. Whee! I can't wait!

Woot.

Finished my sgareversebang story on Wednesday night and got it in to mashimero after outsideth3box gave it a once over to make sure that most of my stupid mistakes were removed.

Of course, I had to tweak again after she sent it back, so I probably put in some new stupid mistakes, but I just can't help myself sometimes.

9000+ words. Dude. Not too bad.

I probably would have spun a longer story if I hadn't been so damn busy painting the house the last few weeks. I actually outlined the story when I first picked my image, spend three days thinking about it - and then totally forgot about it until 48 hours before it was due.

Yeah. Note to self: next time you're painting, DON'T SIGN UP TO WRITE WITH A DEADLINE! I'm just saying.

However, the house is looking awesome in fresh Swiss Coffee and teal, with my new sheer curtains and metal curtain rods framing the windows - and all my guitars mounted on the walls. OMG! It looks awesome. I need to have a post-reno house warming. Not that we were tearing up walls or anything, but it was a reno of sorts.
